what to extracting

hey i just downlaoded the home edition from this site and i dont know what to extract. i extra
ct the main file and then do i extract stardust in the same folder too. i was wondering because gentoox shallax home cant be only 792 KB. plz help!

Hi,

You need to burn the stardust.iso.
Mine is 636'634KB.
You mustn't extract the iso, unless you want to make an FTP install.

I burned it with Nero like this:
1) recorder -> burn image
2)Burn Options: disk-at-once, finalize, prevent buffer-underrun

You can either use CDRW or DVD.
The XBOX is quite choosy with CDRWs

if i not mistaken there are 7 file which is bios,xbe,default.xbe,distro,initd,linuxboo andvmlinuz.just wondering which file do i need to burn?is it just fine if i just burn all of this file into cdrw?do i need to extract distro file in rar???

ok...i found which file to burn....but it wont launch when i put it into cd tray....i'm using evox dashboard rite now.....what is the problem???

Hi,

You dont have to find or guess what to burn..

go to this "http://gentoox.shallax.com/modules.php? ... e&artid=42"

and read under "1.0 - Installation", actually read the complete tutorial.

If you are not sure what to burn you would not be sure whether to do a native install or E drive install.
