Hello,
I`ve some problems with the eject function in gentoox.
If I type "eject -r" I get the error massage: "input/output error" and the xbox doesn´t eject the drive.
Of course there´s no cd mounted so that´s not the problem.
I wondered, that I´m able the close the drive by "eject -t" if I open it by hand.

some information:
Gentoox home 3.1
Icewm
Philips drive

i have a followup question. although not really necessary, is there a way to close the drive without manually pressing the button?

my xbox is setting above my monitor at home and i love ejecting the dvd drive while at work and scaring the crap out of my wife who sitting at the computer. i just wish i could do it multiple times...

Heh, you really need to get a job that challenges you a bit more. While I appreciate the great lengths one will go to terrorize his wife (as I do myself), I think this is also a product of a bit too much boredom at work =)
