best keyboard and mouse solution?

hey guys. I'm pretty new to the whole scene. I want to hook a keyboard and mouse up to the box for GentooX. I'm not really sure what would be the best way to go about this. I found one of these on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 32449&rd=1 a dual ps2 converter. And one of these.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 80999&rd=1 does anyone use a setup like this? Would this work for GentooX and Avalaunch you think? Thanks

I'm starting to wonder if i really need a mouse now. Is it possible to use the Xpad as a mouse?

there is a virtual keyboard located on gentoox.... ( home edition ) wich can be controlled by your xpad.. using thumbstick as mouse and... i thought it was A as enter etc.

so you wouldnt need a mouse/keyboard at all

( it's only easier when you do lots of stuff on your xbox, like irc gaim etc. )

you can do most of the stuff from your pc.. using webmin/ssh/samba

typing goes slower using xpad.. but is it possible...

i've juts demolished one of my controllers... soldered a usb hub onto the cable.. so i have 4 usb ports on my xbox now

works fine!
