What is xbox ip address

I would like to know the command to query my xbox's ip address from gentoox. ipconfig, ifconfig, none of these commands work. I searched everywhere and can't find anything.

Also, I know there is the net file I can edit, to specify a static address. Is it possible to specify a default static ip address that the xbox uses if its on the correct gateway, but otherwise it will use dhcp?

ifconfig is the command you need make sure you are typing it all lowercase.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately that doens't seem to work. neither does connecting via VNC and http, although I can connect via ftp. During install I chose to run all of those automatically.

Am I supposed to change shells or change to KDE for ifconfig to work?

Right now magic is running, maybe once thats done vnc will start working.
