I am not a newb to Xbox hacking, however I am a newb to gentoox and installing linux on my xbox. Do I need to install a gentoox or linux bios in order to use gentoox? If not, are there advantages to doing so? Any information that can fill the gaps in my understanding is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have. Any suggestions for what I should search for. Searching for "Bios" is pretty useless.

yeah I was wondering the same thing.
I have most of the time been using cromwell, but i also have used executer 2.
i have not really had a problem with either... i think this is a legal thing though.
sometimes with crowell though usb/controller seems to not work. maybe 1 out of 5 times.

I found this
viewtopic.php?t=1293 It seems that my Xecutor bios should work fine, and I agree it seems like a legal issue. Are there any other advantages to using the Cromwell bios?

No, except I think ShALLaX and Friendtech's new product needs a Cromwell BIOS. I'm not sure, though.
