USB keyboard

hi all... since yesterday im trying to find a scheme so i can do a "USB to PS/2" adapter... so i can plug my keyboard on my Xbox to run gentoox!

..but im not having luck!

does anyone know how to do this adaptor?
( plug a standard PS/2 keyboard into a single USB port )
i know its very easy! but im no tecnician!

please help me on this so i can run gentoox!

do you already have the adaptor?
If not you might as well spend £5 on a USB keyboard. USB and PS/2 are totally different so you need a circuit to convert the USB signals to PS/2, it is not a question of wiring pin a to pin b etc.

yes... i know i need a pcb to work well! and thats the problem... couse i cant find it anywere!

the adapter costs about 25/30$us or €
..its kinda expensive!

and for the usb keyboard! that would be great if i could find one for 10$ or €...but! they r all to expensive! i really dont know why a input device such a keyboard is so expensive!

if i had the adapter i would connect the xbox to my i/o hub!

Ya they are expensive here, I waited till I got my Income tax

10$ usb adaptor off E-Bay
30$ Logitech Elite Usb/ps2 internet Keyboard

even though Im broke (as always) it was worth every penny to be able to hit that lil red x on the top right corner of the virtual keyboard.
and type more than 10 wpm

plus its a cool Black keyboard that matches my XBOX.

but Kudos to the virtual Keyboard, without it, I wouldnt have been able to do Nuttin till now.

The adaptor you have a link for will only allow you to plug a keyboard into a USB socket it won't make it work.
PS/2 and USB are different, most USB keyboards can also work as PS/2 keyboards, most PS/2 keyboards won't work as USB.

I have just started into the wonderfull world of Xbox/Gentoox and found the simplest and cheapest was a xbox Usb adapter (i looked at the ps2 option etc) dont know where you are based (I am Uk) but I bought my adapter from http://www.elliteconsoles.com and got it within 2 days and then £7 for a USB keyboard. but looking at the big wide world try http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?catego ... ccessories.
