How can I mount a lexar jumpdrive thumbdrive.
when I plug it in and do dmesg it shows this.
Code: Select all
hub.c: new USB device 00:02.0-4, assigned address 3
usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x5dc/0x80) is not claimed by any active driver.
thanks

I dunno, but it should work, assuming there's USB Drive/USB Storage and SCSI support in the kernel.
Here's a resource I found:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php? ... =usb+stick
Not sure if it's relevant to the situation, but none the less, be sure to look on Gentoo's forums (
http://forums.gentoo.org ) for information when times seem bleak.
Good luck.

An EXTREMELY useful tool I have found for using USB with Gentoo(x), is usbview.

Q: HOW DO I RUN MAGIC ??
A: You run magic by not typing in capital letters.
