no tv output, dark grey screen when using vnc

Hi,

Afther a while I dont get any output on my television screen. I know that after a while a sort of screensaver starts which I can disable by simply pressing a button on my xbox controller, but when I wait too long, I just get a black screen, with a thick white line going from the upper left to the upper right corner of my tv screen.

When I connect with VNC to my xbox, I get a dark grey screen with a black X as a cursor (the same X which I sometimes see at start-up), but I cant do anything.

I'm now installing the icewm-tools with emerge but it would be very handy not to stay connected the whole time via ssh with my pc since that proces may take some time.
