yes a USB keyboard will help, however you can connect via SSH - I use SecureCRT (the best IMHO) cost$ a few bucks though... you can also connect using RealVNC through an X display - if VNC server is running. I don't think it is by default though. I don't know of any shareware/freeware SSH clients perhaps google will help ... SSH + Client

Putty is a freeware ssh/telnet client "I think a ssh client is a ssh client" I have tried other's but they all do the same thing so why pay for something that you can easily get for free.

I see a desktop function by perichles or something like that..

there i can change my videocard , soundcard , monitor etc.

:) can i just pick a videocard ?
Like the NvIdeA GeFoRcE 3 MMX ?

and just pick a monitor and set the resolution and hertz on 85 ?

800 x 600
85 hertz

? would be much easy'er than the xbvset

If you think that your TV will run at 85Hz then you should go ahead and use what ever settings you like.

otherwise read the tutotials and the faqs and use xbvset.

yeh , my tv can handle 100hz , it works perfectly ,

800*600 and 85hertz.

almost no flickering at all :P

but there is just something that sucks.
i don't sit 2meter in front of the tv to play with linux.

The text size is (example) AIM , MoZillA , Konquerer , is so small , i need a magnifier to see the text.

Is there an (software) magnifier (zoom-lens) available for Gentoox ?
where can i download such a tool ?

would be very usefull , not only for me  i think.
