I also have no mixer devices but I cannot get sound on audio cd's at all! What am I doing wrong?
I have heard that the souncard is muted when you first install.
I have tried to use the 'amixer set Master 100 unmute' command but that throws up an error that it can't find the device!
Help!!
I can play .wav using aplay in the console and I get sound from vcd's in mplayer but I can't get audio cd's working in kscd or any cd player!
