what version of gentoox do you have on your xbox.

If you haven't updated in a while, I would suggest reinstalling gentoox Pro. Its fast, clean and easy :)
Box: XBOX ver 1.1
Mod: Xecutor 2.3 lite+
Hdd: WD 80GB
Dash: Evox, Ava, XBMC
Linux: Gentoox Pro 4.2

Something like "rc-update del xdm" should work if I recall. Been awhile =)

After you magic, it's possible that it might get re-added, but you can always remove it again. Just go through your /etc/init.d directory and make sure that any services that you don't want such as xdm aren't showing in "rc-update list" as starting in any mode.
