Hi all
Where can I download Cromwell with support for Focus chip ??
I have been searching for this but can't find it.
I have a V1.4 box with a Focus chip and the screen is garbeled so I guess I need this version of Cromwell.
Thank's in advance.
Is it possible to get VGA-output with Focus chip ??

I have a 1.4 and it works fine. The thing is, I had trouble with X not working when using an HDTV cable (DVD Component cable that is). Worked fine with a normal RCA. This was only in Linux of course, now my 1.4 runs XBMC all the time so I don't have the problem. So give the normal RCA cable a try if you are using a DVD Component cable.

Thanks for your reply.
I guess all of you are waiting to hear of my progress
I did some magic and after that I have good picture on my TV with the original scart connector.
But the goal was to use my 21" syncongreen monitor.
So I made a cable according to the "howto" @xbox-linux.
(pin 9&13 to gnd)
Now I have tried all possible modes... Composite, HDTV and x2vga
If I get any picture at all it's green !
When I don't get picture I SSH in to box and use xbvset to try some other mode.
No luck !!! What to try next ?
I downloaded a VGA-patched bios to my smartxx and resoldered my cable ( Pin 11&13 to gnd)
Success !!
I could se my dashboard and even play some games in brilliant colors on my monitor.
Time to launch Gentoox.....disappointment.
I get picture in all modes.... but green !
It seems that gentoox loader resets the graphics to green-mode.
Now some questions:
Is it possible to launch gentoox without changing video mode ?
(tell loader not to check AV-cable)
Is it possible at all to get correct colors on a monitor with my setup ?
Version 1.4 with Focus.
And YES, I have searched the forum....over and over and I may say that there are hundreds of posts to read regarding VGA output.
I have read them all but now I give up. Hope you guys can help.
Cheers

Hi,
This isn't probably the answer you are looking for, but just like you, I am also trying to get native VGA working on GentooX. Unfortunately I don't have the same encoder chip, so our results may differ. I have a conexant.
For the cable issue, on the AV plug, I soldering on a DPDT switch to toggle between mode 1+3 (for Linux) and mode 2+3 (VGA patch for XBOX games).
I have been able to get VGA without the green tint on mode 1+3 but it only works when xbvset is on HDTV > 480p. That means that the resolution is very low. All the other modes in xbvset do not work, thankfully there is ssh.
