I dont get any /dev/ttyUSB0

Hi
I just got my box up and running with this easy to install package.
But now I have a Card reader that is supposed to come up as /dev/ttyUSB0
But nothing happens when I connect it to the USB port.
The device is working perfect under XP.
Is there no usbserial module included ?
Btw the device is a phoenix/smartmouse with USB connection
