i picked up a very cheap well the cheapest usb keyboard at circuit city in hopes it would work with gentoox and ofcourse it did not and its no wonder cause i have to use the ps2 adapter for it to work with my pc. i was hoping someone could post the make/model of a keyboard that works and im short on funds so the cheaper the better. i was also wondering if there is a way to get a mic/headset to work with gentoox i got skype to work but need a mic for it

almost anything will work, plug it in and try.

If it doesnt, work after you plug in the device, login via SSH and type dmesg as root to see the last status messages and see if there is an error or whats going on

i get this err when i plug in my keyboard following what u said to do but i did it from the xbox using the onscreen keyboard
