GENTOOX WON'T EVER BOOT

Gentoox never boots when i try to run it. It just sticks at the part where it displays my ip adress. I looked on the faq and it said to "ssh" into my xbox with that ip. WHAT IS "SSH" it's now protocall that i've heard of. I can't ftp into it. HOW DO I SSH?!?

please help i've reinstalled it many times and it just keeps doing this.

SSH is Secure Shell - a remote connection to your linux host.

I'm guessing you've installed the Pro edition. If you have - then that _is_ booted. You wont get any graphical user interface. You'd know this if you read the manual.

However, if you installed Gentoox Home... it's likely that you filled in the XBVSET script incorrectly.

maybe he is still at the installing stage. :) However the manual is a good place to start.
