Bootng in Shell

Hello,

is it possible to konfigure gentoo that it only boots in a shell and not with kde?

-The Problem is:
I need usb-keyboard supprt
I need a terminal server, so I can connect with putty

Gentoox pro will do this by default (keyboard support, SSH for remote command line), Home as well but locally you get a gui instead of a CLI.


Check out the search function and gentoox's main site those locations can answer alot of your questions

The new version of Home allows you to disable X startup when configuring upon firstboot.
