Partition table appears to be corrupted, F is not found

Post by havok1977 »

Hello every1, i am having trouble with my modded Xbox for Gentoox, I have a 1.4 hardware version unit with the TSOP Flashed with Shallax´s BIOS and a 200G Seagate Hard Drive. I Have a default Xbox Parition Table and the Gentoox Kernel is launched from the E Partition, however the system is unable to find F:

I booted Resctoox and i ger the following message when attempting to run cfdisk /dev/hda to check the partition table:

FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 1: Partition ends after end-of-disk

I am uncertain if this was caused by trying to write beyond the disks capacity It did happen, but after i reached the limit i aborted and erased enough to get things back to an acceptable remaining free space.

Now, how do i fix this?? It is very important to me bacause my entire mp3 collection, scanned comics and personal files for the last 10 or more years are in that partition and i HAVE to get them back.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Update, running fdisk on my /dev/hda i get this info:

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/hda: 200.0 GB, 200049647616 bytes
61 heads, 33 sectors/track, 194099 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 2013 * 512 = 1030656 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 7767 8015 250000+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda2 * 8015 194100 187294447+ 83 Linux

Now if only i could change hda to match my hard drives capacity everything would get fixed, am i right? Please send me your comments....
