Hi,
I'm currently researching/implementing Snort with a prelude IDS front end on my V1.6 Xbox (Gentoox Pro V2.0.
I want to use it inline but outside of my Firewall. Some of the info I have found so far points to compiling the Kernel with PAX RBSAC LIDS and even SE Linux to harden the OS.
Can anyone layout some Pro / Cons of these methods.
I have had thoughts of using Shorewall for a firewall
Also the order in which to install the dependant libraries and MySQL is a little confusing???
Shallax any thoughts????
