Recover some deleted files

Hi everyone!
I've deleted some pictures and I want to recover them but i don'ty know how to do...in a first time I'd like to know if it's possible...as we can do it on Windows...and what's the solution...

Well the answer may depend on how you deleted them...

1) If you used 'rm' in a shell, then they are gone for good. There is no 'undelete' function in *nix.

2) If you used a GUI-based "move to trash" menu-item, then depending how this is programmed, they still may be in the "trash" assuming you haven't subsequently emptied it. As to this last situation, I don't use a GUI so I can't really advise you where to look.

So, not much help I'm afraid.
