1.6 Xbox 160GB HD SmartXX : error writing to install device

HI,

i tried to install Gentoox Home 4.0 on my F partition without formatting it.
when it says that the progress is now runnning automaticaly it stops after
"testing Filesystems" this is the thirdpoint in the install routine.
The error message is

Error writing to install device

what can i do to solve this problem? i don´t want to format my harddiski juzst want to install gentoox on F without changing anything so that i can run it out of XBMC as an aplication.

someone correct me if i am wrong but i don't think Gentoox supports lba48 patches. ? so it won't see your large F drive. or is it just that it won't support the G partition of the lba48 patch?

The error doesnt say "error writing to F". How much space do you have in the E drive.
