im running gentoox home (lastest release and magic updated)
i have the following installed that relate to phpbb2:
apache 2.0.54-r8
mysql 4.0.25
php 4.4.0
phpBB 2.0.17
mod_php 4.4.0
my problem is when i goto the install/install.php for phpbb2 i enter all the information including info for the mysql user and database i set up and when i hit the start install button at the bottom it goes back to that same page with all the fields reset. when i check the database or the config.php files nothing has changed. i get no error message from the page or in my apache logs.
ive tried a million things and searched for hours on this...any help or suggestions trouble shooting this would be greatly appreciated and let me know if i need to paste and config files or anything.
