Gentoo vs Gentoox??

Post by chrisb »

What would be the best solution??

Im trying to make me a Xbox-Linux server with:
Apache, PHP, MySQL, FTP and Email server.

And I want to use a 20GB+ harddisk, so it needs to be a total native install.

What shall I do?

Make a clean Gentoo installation?
or make a Stage 4 from a Gentoox install?

Im a n00b, but Its getting better.. :D

The reason it's called GentooX is because it is based off Gentoo. Therefore, if you went to Gentoo, you'd basically have to redo everything that ShALLaX has done. Like vplayer said, re-invent the wheel =)

Gentoox Stage4

Post by chrisb »

Has anyone done this?

I like a step-by-step guide for making a Stage4 of Gentoox, so I can but it on a larger disk.

Or is there another way do make a Total native install??
