Abnormal installation (HELP)

Ok i have been using Gentoox for 2+ years. I have always downloaded the distro and FTPed the files to my f drive. I am updating my bothers xbox with a newer version of Home. I downloaded the it and transfered the files to his xbox. all the files are in the right place, but when i load the XBE it acts like there is no Root FS. It tries to load sparkle (asking for a CD) I have downloaded twice and it still happens am i missing something?

only thing I can think of is that the linuxboot.cfg is missing. Make sure it's there and that the file isn't blank.

got it i downloaded it a 3rd time and it worked
