problem with emerge

Hi,I've just install gentoox using the ftp method and every time I type the emerge command (ex.:emerge sync) it go to a balck screen with white writing and my ip shown in the bottom,then it go to a black screen with the virtual keyboard in brown at the bottom left corner and after all my screen is fudge up?!?

Never mind,I solved the problem,it's because there were missing files in my distro

bug = human tendency to think they are always right and will get things working on their first try..
