ShALLaX: update an old install or download the new one?

Just wondering if you were going to make a new sourceforge download to go along with the magic updates, so I can scratch out the old install (which would take a couple days to update if I guess right) and just upload the new one to a clean disk instead of putzing around with the ftp back back and forth jig...
perhaps an intermediate release of home4.0 for ftp install only? That _would_ be sweet.
