i downloaded the stardust.iso. and followed these instructions on how to FTP on my xbox without burning anything. http://gentoox.shallax.com/...artid=59

now when i get to the final part of extracting (DISTRO.RAR) the file "rootfs" is always either corrupt or crashes my winrar. as well i have downloaded the ISO again from another source and tried.

can anyone help?

Try unraring on a different computer - sounds like yours is broken. Or maybe try upgrading winrar.

just tried an another PC, and updated winrar as well and still no go :/

re-download maybe u used a download manager that might've corrupted sumthing.

i downloaded with firefox

weird thing is that i extract stardust.iso fine, then DISTRO.RAR which is within the original ISO is the archive which has the problems extracting "rootfs"

h winace i get these error messages when trying to just extract the one file from DISTRO.RAR

message one:

C:\rootfs
Error #: 25111
Error: Bad Block

Message two:
CRC error: File C:\rootfs would not be extracted correctly!
