has any 0ne tried this LCD and gentoox

this will allow linux/BSD talk to a LCD.. with at simple connection between a usb serial port and your LCD you could make gentoox use a LCD.. I'm going to try puting a PIC between my usb serial and mu smartXX lcd pins.. sounds like a good weekend hobby..

I works as a serial lcd.. I just need to make an addapter for my smartXX chip so when linux boot it sends a line low to allow signals from the (usb) serial port.

I'm finishing up my web site and my Linux distro (non-xbox) so it may be some time before I get back on this.
