samba share with more than 4gb on a network installation

Post by MADoe »

Hi ,
I made a ftp installation of gentoox to my E Drive.
Now i want to share about 10gb of my F Drive via samba. (NAS)

I dont want to loose my games on f drive by
formating it to a native format.

Is there a way of merging three 4gb partitions ive made with
"magic newfs", or any other solution ?

Why don't you just share a folder on your F drive?

It's possible that you may be able to create a JBOD RAID array using 3 loopbacks, but you'd have to work out how for yourself. Otherwise just create 3 loopbacks and mount them on three mount points in the same directory.
If you keep an open mind, will your brain fall out?

I tried to share something on F drive, but it only shows crazy stuff instead of my folders on it, and it seems i've read permissions only.

On the other shared drive E everything is working.
