High Definition--1920x1080--resolution possible

Post by drerock »

Is there any way, AT ALL, to display linux in high definition? Actually, what I'm really looking for is to be able to run a DVD in high definition display on my Xbox. I've been told it is possible to do this in windows, but I can't get windows installed. Any suggestions are welcome. I've been on this for three months and still can't get there. Thanks in advance.

Try messing around with xbv and /etc/X11/XF86Config

I dont think such high resolutions are possible.

i don't know if you can use this with your hd-pack but i have a pixel8 vga cable and 1152x864@60hz is the highest resolution. According to Oliver Schwartz's Vga Tutorial the xbox dac won't support any higher res/frequency
