MY USB HUB ON XBOX

i followed a tutorial on wiring up a belkin usb hub to a xbox..my usb powers up but it turns off when the Gentoox installation is going on..is it this suppose to happen or is my wiring incorrect?

I assume you followed this tut right?

The only thing I can think of is maybe bad wiring, or maybe the wires are touching each other (at the points where they're exposed, wrap them up with electrical tape).

Did you get Gentoox installed? If so, does it still turn off when running Gentoox?

Also, if you have them on your Xbox, does the usb hub work in other apps outside of linux?

i didnt install gentoox yet..i dunno whats wrong with it but anyways yea it turns off while the installation is proceeding

Hmm... well, I'd first do the ftp installation (if you can't the CD installation to work), and then try your hub in gentoox.
