Skype with microphone/headset??

Post by althena77 » Mon Jan 10, 2005 3:32 pm

Hello!!

I have just downloaded Skype for Linux and it seems to run just fine under Gentoox. Now I wonder if I could use a USB-Microphone/Headset with it too. Or would the Headset from a Xbox-Live Starterkit work??

Thanks :)
XBox: 1.1
Bios: IND 5003
Gentoox: Home 4.0
Installation: F

I don't see why not, you may need to compile in some kernel support for usb audio

You would kind of think that it could already have built in support for the live headsets, but i'm guessing it's a little more complicated then that (only because a lot of apps written already support it, but they're also not Linux, which is different.)
