Gentoo Loader booting from /boot partition

I have a Xbox which i have dedicated to Linux only. I am wanting to get ride of all the FatX partitions and such.. I noticed while playing around with MCE on a different Xbox of mine that it creates a /boot partition and places everything it needs to boot MCE from there. Does Gentoo Loader support this also or is it only the MCE bios? If not where can i locate the sources for the MCE and GentooX loader. I searched through the Xbox-linux cvs and only could find Cromwell which i know they are based on that.

Only the MCE bios supports native booting. If you want this feature, try using Cromwell.

I plan on rewriting the Gentoox Loader sooner or later to support this.

So the only thing specific about the gentoo loader is that it looks for the stuff on the E drive? or will Cromwell also look for this?
