HI, I was just curious if it is possible, from a updated install on the e: drive, to install a new native install onto g, on a drive over 120 gig. if not, is it possible to edit my gentoox install cd's files and install like that ?

thanks ! I have yet to magic f-drive, which i will do, but I read that a native install is faster, has quicker disk access etc.

It is possible to install natively onto a G drive. There are a few guides on these forums that explain how to do it. The basic steps are:
1. Partition the G drive to create a /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2 for swap and rootfs.
2. Create the swap filesystem and either reiser or ext3 on the other.
3. Copy the contents of your rootfs on to the ext3 partition.
4. Edit your /etc/fstab file to reflect the new location of the swap and root partitions
5. Patch the linuxrc file inside the initrd.gz so that it boots from the native partition.
6. Don't forget to switch off G drive support in any 3rd party programs you have.
