Wrong screen format

Im trying to install GentooX 3.1 home edition but the resolution the tv screen seems to small, the text is outside the screen (mostly vertical, as if it is widescreen mode or something..), why is this and how do I fix it ?

you can't fix this untill you have gentoox installed. Try installing via ssh

If this is a 1.6 xbox, you better get used to it, as there is presently no fix, nor any immediate prospect of one being developed.

you can confirm what it is by running:

dmesg | grep xbox

If you see a line saying 'Xcalibur', then you're out of luck.
