Loader.bin and linux

While installing gentoox i opted out of flashing the modchip, (I have a xenium and I'm not sure how it will react) Instead I used the loader.bin file and loaded it into one of the banks on my xenium. Whenever I try launching the Loader.bin Bios It goes to the stardust loader (I think!) and asks for the stardust cd instead of booting linux... Is that because I used the wrong bios, or is that because I need to place an .xbe on a particular drive or what? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a xenium ice and every time I try to execute the loader.bin file from one of my banks xbox dumps ... or reboots. anyone know why?
