Play Audio CD

Hi all,

I am trying to play audio CD using xmms. The xmms seems to recognize the presence of audio cd. But when I pressed play, nothing happens. The same happen whether I login as gentoox or root. What did I miss out?

Same thing here...just installed Gentoox two days ago (thanks Shallax) and trying to figure out what's the problem is. Was able to tune into shoutcast but can seems to get the sound out of my cdrom with XMMS.


Totally new to Linux...but I will learn.

Same problem here, no audio from audio CDs in XMMS. I know that audio is working fine, because DVDs and VCDs play fine in MPlayer.

Any ideas?

XMMS=>Options=>Preferences=>Output Plugin=>Alsa=>Configure=>NVidia nForce=>OK
