long filenames?

Post by lumpmonkey »

I seem to have a problem copying mp3's with long filenames over to my xbox (from WinXP). The error message is "invalid file handle"

Is there something I need to change in Samba config in order to get around this? Or is it a problem with the fatx file system?

Thanks

there are two problems,
fatx doesn't support long filenames (I think it does about 40 characters) and unix filesystems don't do certain characters can't think what right now possibly '
If you keep an open mind, will your brain fall out?
