I have installed Gentoox home edition. I did "emerge sync", then I did "emerge camsource" like it says in the webcam tutorial on these forums. I ran camsource like it says but it says there is no /dev/video0 blah blah no device found. I am trying to use a creative webcam, just the standard creative webcam (nothing special).
You have to add somthing in the config, theres a good thread somewere search for it I can't remember what config file but you got to add somet like pwc then reload camsource. My webcam works just installed gentoox 3.1 will set it up soon ill let you know mate.
