VNC in 1024x768

Post by Angel of Dawn »

Hiho
It is possible to have a 1024x768 VNCdesktop in GentooX?
I could sacrifice TV output if needed, but the best way would be a 1024x768 vnc desktop and a 800x600 tv desktop.

...The resolution of VNC is now determined by the resolution of Xfree. =(

Okay, thanks.
Well then i will cry a little

800x600 is too small for some windows, especially for the configwindows of XFCE

hmm.. i just use this command to start up vnc "vncserver :3500 -name linux@xbox -depth 24 -geometry 1024x768"
(actually i got a script run at startup with su - root - c "vncserver :3500 -name linux@xbox -depth 24 -geometry 1024x768")

ther you go, vnc with a depth of 24 and resolution of 1024x768 :D

What file starts vnc by default. I would like to edit this to get the 1024x768 resolution for vnc.
