Perfectly put. Like people asking for apache... not everyone wants that so it counts as bloat.

you should make a configurable installer
no seriously i aggree with spathi bloat is terrible, if all the packages where under 10meg (individually) i would install pro and start afresh but dial up sucks and i cant download big stuff

i can bitch if i want.. im entitled to.. im still using it
there are areas more rural than me that are on broadband, why cant i be
i used to download huge back in the day.. but i cant find a decent account that allows for unlimited connection time anymore... i used to get 200+ hour connection times but now the max is 8hours (thanks spathi i appreciate it and i dont know what i would do without it) but its not 200+ if you know what i mean, i can barely download 50meg in that time

late getting back to you, but I see others have replied
what error do you get? hard to help without it
If the error is with 0.1.14, then I suggest installing the dev release. Still 'light' but has some nicer features ... stable to.
also try searching in gentoo.org, as gentoox is a port of that, and you may find your error is in there. if not its gentoox specific ...
is it this one by any chance?

Thats the exact error i recieved while testing the emerge. using the solution provided in the gentoo forums fixes it. i have posted it below for future users:
using that line will successfully emerge the stable fluxbox release. it also unmerges just fine too
please note using that line will disable support for other languages.

I've added a HOWTO on Installing ICEWM (small like XFCE, yet still usable for a linux n00b) with full Windows XP style theming
