Although not apparently required on a Linux partitions I’m not sure about FatX formatted drives….

Right, there is no point. And since we cant even get bugfree fatx drivers - do you REALLY want a fatx defragger? ;)

And why even bother? Whenever I think my FATX drives are fragmented like crazy I just move all my stuff over to my PC and format the drives and pull my stuff over to the Xbox again.

defraging non journaling filesystems is a bad idea, I've seen systems totally hosed because somebody defragged a big fat32 partition.
If you keep an open mind, will your brain fall out?
