Your fans and users request the following....

Post by docofdrow » Wed Jan 19, 2005 5:13 pm

1. A "flavor" of gentoox that is installable via loop (on FATX partitions) similiarly to Home/Pro

2. Working ALSA pre-installed supporting XBOX SPDIF out

3. Working XBOX IR Dongle support via usb / kernel module

4. Working lircd / lircmd support for #3 pre-installed

5. Display support is already excellent, no changes required here

6. Pre-compiled freevo and/or mythtv binaries (latest)

(Maybe this request is easily accomplished by allowing MCE edition to be installed on E: or F: ?)

Thanks!

Isn't this done now?
Working ALSA pre-installed supporting XBOX SPDIF out
This could be an ALSA problem not Gentoox, ALSA 1.08 supposedly works with SPDIF out
Working XBOX IR Dongle support via usb / kernel module
use the search button, viewtopic.php?t=2491&highlight=remote
this is linux, nothing is handed to you viewtopic.php?t=2491&highlight=remote
Pre-compiled freevo and/or mythtv binaries
again, this is linux, do some work to get your outcome

1) Already done
2) ALSA already supports SPDIF to my knowledge - you just need to enable it in your programmes.
3) Already done in Gentoox MCE. If you want it in standard Gentoox its a case of doing it yourself.
4) See 3)
5) I know
6) See 3)
