Cell phone as a modem in linux

Post by hairyspheers »

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and linux. I have installed gentoox and it is awesome. I have been doing some searching on getting a cell phone to work as a modem in linux but I have not found anything here. Has this been done? Has anyone got bitpim work as well? For those who want to know, I am trying to get my sprint sanyo 7300 to work in linux. Thanks!

I read on the gentoo sight that an acm module is needed. Here is a link to the thread on the gentoo site http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-93 ... print.html
I am a complete noob when it comes to linux. A step by step tutorial or and explantion on how to run this code will be greatly appreciated.
