USB bluetooth dongle wont detect

When i try connecting a bluetooth usb dongle it wont show up in dmesg or neither /proc/bus/usb/devices.., all other 2-3 usb devices ive tried works (not BT dongles though).., damn strange.. working nice on xebian.. but wont detect in gentoox.. (running 2.6.11.3 kernel)
