I'm running gentoo now, I flashed my tsop with cromwell and rebuilt with a gentoo livecd - amazingly I hjave survived to tell the tale, I didnt need magic and all that stuff - however I do miss fanctl and xboxtemp etc. Is there any good place I can download these great xbox apps, I can't see them in portage?

I've got a suspicion this xbox is overheating at times.

pull them off pro 1.5, mount it as loopback and copy away

They're also on the xbox-linux.org cvs (under Shallax's i2c stuff I believe), if you know how to browse CVS servers and download source from them, you can get them from there.
