Can I just copy Stardust.iso to e: drive,then install to f:

Can I just copy Stardust.iso to e: drive, boot the default.xbe file and install gentoox to f:\ . Then once gentoox is installed to f:\ drive, delete installation files from e:\
please can someone help me with this, Cuz I got this stupid thompson drive that doesnt work with cd-r and barely cd-rws, I cant afford another drive right now.
is their any hope for me?
