Filesize limit ?

Post by magnum77 »

Is there any filesize limit for files to download with xmule in gentoox?
I got version 1.8.4 binary working very stable on my machine under gentox linux, but there is a problem with a big file. The file is 3.2 Gigs but the client add it to the down list as a 2 Gigs file.
Add it just looks about full sources. Any other sources with less than 100% s rejected as no needed source and I don't even got a bit of that file. kinda odd having 300 sources out there and waiting to get one of 6 full ones.

There is another problem too, sometimes it showa some 250 KB-sec speed even if I only got a 1024 Kbit DSL Line.

Would be great to get some help or if someone expected the same probs and got a workaraund :(

Sounds like a bug in the programme.. FatX will store files up to 4GB.. and reiserfs.. not sure, probably more than 4GB. Run df -h to make sure you have enough space first, I guess.

There is a 20 Gig Space left.

hmm definitely isn't gentoox's problem as I tried mldonkey and it handeled the file correctly. it must be a problem of Xmule.
