digital camera connectivity

hey everyone..
just new to putting linux on the xbox and have to say that its pretty sweet. im just wondering though, has anyone had any experience on getting a digital camera.. or external usb memory card reader to work in gentoox?
i take crap loads of photos when im away and usually take my xbox anyway, id love to be able to store my photos on the xbox and clear up my memory cards.
any help would be great.
