What's the best word processor?

Post by cram_1016 »

I want a fast and light word processor. OpenOffice.org is way too slow and bloated? Anyone know of a good program? (Is Abiword any good?)

-Thanks-

The first thing that comes to mind is vi. But that's a text editor, not a word processor. Here's what I found out after 30 seconds of Google (read: try that next time!):

Q: HOW DO I RUN MAGIC ??
A: You run magic by not typing in capital letters.

nano's a plain text editor, not a word processor.

You might try typesetting in LaTeX. That would require very little memory usage (until compilation).
