[1] You can only on top of Gentoox, or with the very beta Xbox-Windows project that uses Windows CE. Also, Gentoox isn't slow unless you use KDE, which is a rather bloated GUI.

[2] Depends what you mean by "PC." You can run /some/ windows games with an emulation layer (like wine or winex, which are technically APIs, not emulators). You can play native Linux games no problem.

[3] Yes.

[4] You /can/ do it with only a controller, but I strongly recommend having a keyboard.
